Summer is a time when we get to relax and enjoy ourselves. Sometimes, though, if we do too much relaxing, we can lose some of that valuable knowledge that we accumulated over the school year. Reading can help you exercise your brains so that you'll be prepared for the next school year. Check out these lists of books that are perfect for elementary and middle school-aged students.

The 2x2 book list is a list of great books for children aged 2 years to 2nd grade.
The Texas Bluebonnet Award master list is a list of books that are in the running to with the Texas Bluebonnet Award. These books are great for 2nd grade to middle school. You may remember that the 2014-2015 Texas Bluebonnet Award winning book was The Day the Crayons Quit by Drew Daywalt and illustrated by Oliver Jeffers. Check out the current nominees!
For our bilingual students, there is a new recommended reading list called Tejas Star. This list features books in both English and Spanish. Enjoy!
